Before the hot months
Run every station in the morning and mark heads that do not clear the grass. Confirm the rain sensor actually stops a cycle when it is wet. Set days from the current utility notice, not from last July’s program.
After a storm or a freeze
If a station runs with the clock off, shut the irrigation supply and call 346-642-6161. After a freeze warning, the backflow and anything above ground need a look before the first warm-day cycle. We do not “winterize” Houston systems the way a northern city does. We do isolate what froze.
