Municipal utility districts do not share one watering calendar

Two houses in the same Katy ZIP can be on different utilities. The controller should follow the bill, not the neighbor’s text.

A typical call sounds like this. In Grand Lakes, in April, before the turf hides every head, someone notices zones that start at the wrong hour on a side yard you can barely walk. The rest of the yard, toward Cinco Ranch, still looks acceptable from the street, which is why the problem gets described as small. It is small only if the station, the valve, and the heads agree. We ask whether the wet or dry area changes while that station runs, and whether it continues after the clock moves on. Those two answers separate a nozzle, a valve, and a leak before we price a part. The soil under that lawn is Fort Bend and Katy prairie clay that opens cracks by August. The turf is mostly St. Augustine, sometimes Bermuda on the sunniest new-build lawns. A schedule copied from a different turf or a sunnier neighborhood will not survive contact with this yard.
